Xiao Yao Wan (Xiao Yao Pian, Xiao Yao San, relaxx extract, free & easy wanderer, 逍遥片) is a well known ancient Chinese herbal formula for liver Qi stagnation. Today, it is a commonly used herbal remedy for anxiety, irritability, stress, and depression due to the challenge of a daily life or premenstrual tension.
It is also known as Xiao Yao San, Xiao Chai Hu Tang, Bupleurum & Tang Kuei, Bupleurum Sedative Pills, xiao yao pian, free & easy wanderer.
When taken regularly by women for menstrual cycle problems, it is effective at smoothing out and reducing the emotional highs and lows and balancing the hormonal cycle.
This is a basic formula for stagnation of liver qi
due to deficiency of liver blood. Symptoms are diverse and include
digestive dysfunction (abdominal bloating and fullness, hiccups, poor
appetite), menstrual and pre-menstrual disorders ( cramps, irregular
periods, infertility, breast distension, depression, irritability), as
well as vertigo, headache, fatigue, blurred vision or red, painful
eyes. Also useful in food allergies, chronic hay fever, and hypoglycemia.
Packaging: 200 concentrated pills each pack (160 mg each pill).
Directions:
Take 8 pills 3 times a day with lukewarm water.
Recommended Dosage particularly for premenstrual tension: 8 pills, 3 times per
day - beginning with ovulation and ending once period begins. May be
taken on a monthly basis.
