Japanese Sole Patches January 8, 2010 Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Flint, MI United States   If I walk or stand all day, I develop a sharp pain and stiffness in my ankle that leaves me hobbling the next day.  Over the years, I've tried a lot of different painkillers and "arthritis creams," with little to no effect - just end up "walking off" the pain. I relunctantly (it's "voodoo" medicine, ya know?) tried a foot patch a couple years ago - this very Chili Patch - with every expectation that it would not work. I have not tried any other brand of foot patch, or any other version (i.e., Lavender or Original) of this brand, but these Chili patches do work for me - about 80% of the times I've needed them.   So, "No," they're not a 100% effective, but for me, they've been way more effective than acetaminophin or topical creams.
